The price for a berth depends on the length of the boat. The price for a berth varies in the different marinas along our coast and is based on the current price list for the current year.

Please note that the price for a catamaran berth is twice as high as for a sailing boat of the same length.

Yes, test drives are possible.

Depending on the agreement, we will take over the updating and procurement of the required boat documents for you.

In order to operate a sailboat or motor yacht yourself, you need a valid sailing license recognized by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and a certificate of ability to operate a radio station.

As with cars, there are different license categories for boats – from simple amateur to highly professional licenses. For boats, however, this is a much higher requirement. Just as sailing itself is a more demanding skill than driving a car on the road. In terms of complexity, the captain of a ship (sailing or motor vessel) is somewhere between a car driver and an airplane pilot. For this reason, you should take the helm extremely seriously for your own safety and the safety of others.

A boat, even the smallest, must have a skipper who has passed the test as soon as it has an engine. The size of the boat, or rather everything on its navigation certificate, also determines the “sailing” category, which ranges in five levels – from the basic amateur coastal navigation certificate category A to the highly professional certificate of competence for a yacht captain category B.

A new boating and sailing season on the Adriatic is just around the corner. Owning your own boat in a country with such a beautiful sea and rugged coastline is a real privilege. According to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, around 1,500 ships, 2,500 motor yachts and as many as 115,000 boats sail the Croatian seas during the summer season under the Croatian flag alone. You will agree with me that even a smaller boat gives its owner freedom of movement and an experience of the Adriatic that is denied to those without a boat. This freedom is priceless. However, since owning a boat does not require an annual technical inspection (like a car), many owners forget about the legal obligation to insure ships, boats and yachts over 15 kW. In the event of contact with the police or other authorities, it is mandatory to take out compulsory boat liability insurance. Therefore, an uninsured boat is a potential source of unforeseen expenses.

The boats undergo a full inspection every two years.
