The passenger ship VOGA is a unique ship due to its high-quality steel construction from 1967. A complete refit was carried out in 2005, with properly renewed documents after the fishing vessel was adapted for passenger transport, all in accordance with the requirements and instructions of the Croatian Maritime Ships. In 2005, the complete shell, ribbing, deck and superstructure were repaired, so considering the construction material, steel, it can be considered that the hull, deck and superstructure, with regular maintenance, have an extended lifespan of another 50 years. Installation of a new engine from 2002 as well as one auxiliary engine from 2024.
The ship Voga consists of a bulkhead with 4 watertight bulkheads where the engine room and steering gear are located in the stern and 5 storage spaces located from the middle towards the bow and 2 decks used for passenger accommodation, all air-conditioned with Mitsubishi TRIAL air conditioning. The reconstruction of the ship is documented through all ship certificates and drawings approved by the Croatian Maritime Register. The ship has a duly certified and approved fire and safety equipment plan, passenger accommodation plan and a tilt test with passengers. The ship is fully equipped to accommodate 215 passengers in 2005 when the ship was reconstructed according to all HRB regulations. In accordance with the instructions and supervision of the Croatian Maritime Register, the mb VOGA was converted into a passenger excursion ship for which purpose it was issued an appropriate certificate. The mb VOGA is inspected by HRB inspectors every year at annual inspections and its five-year class has been duly issued. I do not find any damage when examining the shell. It is visible that the hull has undergone regular annual overhauls every year.
It is powered by a high-quality CATERPILLAR 3508 main engine with power 750 kW, reduced 594 kW to transfer power to the propeller via a Rentjers VAV 500 reducer. Fiat AIFO 804 M, Power: 51.5 KW; Fiat NEF 45 AM2, Power: 50 KW
The ship has 2 air-conditioned saloons with Mitsubishi TRIAL air conditioning, a ship’s bar and a ship’s galley equipped with all devices for preparing and processing food for passengers. The galley contains professional catering equipment made of stainless steel. The bridge has all the necessary navigation equipment, as well as all the alarms that should be and are prescribed by regulations. The vessel has a properly certified and approved fire and safety equipment plan. This year is underwater part completly sended. Antifouling is done every year.
